Soul Stingers is a live, semi-acoustic band, delivering a slow rockin’ vibe, covering classic artists and original songs.
It has been a ten year process to aggregate the members, the recordings and the live sets of Soul Stingers, as there are many miles and much time between most of us on the project.
But the goal to assemble a committed core of people who play live and record as Soul Stingers is coming together rather nicely.
​And although I have been leading the songs vocally, Tendo Gloria has officially joined Soul Stingers for all dates this year, so Soul Stingers are evolving to weave her organic vocals into the mix more and more.

Members include myself, vocal guitarist Mark David McKinnis, vocalist Tendo Gloria, Martin Young on lead guitar, Erik Klerks on upright bass, Jeff Gross on percussion, Bill Flores on dobro and Michael Rosen on harmonica.​ (Recordings include Gary Wicks on upright bass, Todd Richmond on fretless bass, and Austin Beede on brush drums.)

As a direction, we are more focused on a live performance, so most of the recordings are being assembled to represent what we might sound like live.​​ Some cuts are produced and mastered, some are live and edited and some are simple one take live capture. The additional new set of four tunes (draft versions up online currently) was recorded at each member studio and assembled. And the recent new set of four tunes (not online yet) was recorded live in studio but is also being edited. You can keep up with our progress and hear the takes on the radio player.
